Favorable regulatory landscape, increasing machine to machine (M2M) and smartphone subscriptions, and the upcoming 5G technology are set to drive South Korea’s total mobile data revenue from US$13.9bn in 2019 to US$15.5bn in 2024, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced its partnership with China Telecom to complete the verification of the industry's first FAST (FDD Assists Super TDD) solution at 2.1GHz and 3.5GHz in Shenzhen, China.

The merger creates a regional leader in online classifieds. Telenor Group receives a 32 percent stake in the company, making it the largest minority shareholder. 701Search will cease to be a subsidiary company of Telenor Group and will merge its operations with Carousell with immediate effect.

ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, announced that ZTE and China Telecom have jointly launched the world's first commercial 5G maglev (magnetic levitation) high-speed network test in Shanghai, China. The test measured communications within a train travelling at a maximum speed of 500KM/h. During the test, the 5G commercial terminal was stable and easy to support various high performance mobile broadband services, demonstrating that the 5G network can provide high-speed maglev trains with ideal broadband communications.

Increase in the demand for mobile Internet connectivity and growing unique subscriber base is set to drive the total mobile service revenue in China from US$153bn in 2019 to US$165bn by the end of 2024, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.
