Geostationary satellite operator, SES, has signed a multi-year, multi-transponder agreement with Sky Cable, the largest cable television provider in the Philippines, under which Sky Cable will broadcasting direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV channels via SES satellites at 108.2 degrees East, the SES-9 and NSS-11 satellites.

VNPT-Vinaphone has signed a letter of intent with GlobeOne to offer GlobeOne mobile banking services in Vietnam. GlobeOne claims to be well positioned to capture Vietnam's huge cohort of digital natives converting to smartphones and enable Vinaphone to provide people with mobile-based access to meaningful and affordable financial services from their member banks, and the patent-pending income-building SocialBoost program.

Pakistani telco Warid Telecom is deploying Syniverse's IPX diameter signaling services to enable its subscribers to access LTE services around the globe, and to provide LTE service to visiting inbound roamers throughout Pakistan. According to the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, Pakistan had more than 26.1 million 3G and LTE subscribers at the end of February, up from just 24.7 million in January.

GoDaddy, which claims to be the world's largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, has expanded its hosting services to offer cloud servers and Bitnami-powered cloud applications in Asia. It says the new offerings are designed to help individual developers, tech entrepreneurs and IT professionals to quickly build, test and scale cloud solutions.
