SPTel, a joint venture between ST Engineering and SP Group, has launched its Edge Cloud solution, which offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service capabilities. This solution allows businesses to access services such as Virtual Machine-as-a-Service, Container-as-a-Service, Storage-as-a-Service and Backup-as-a-Service. It provides scalability and rapid resource provisioning for businesses. The solution incorporates the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform, enabling businesses to easily scale, manage and monitor their edge cloud resources.

Malaysian operator Maxis recently conducted a trial of the 6 GHz spectrum in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia (UM). The purpose of the trial was to enhance network traffic and explore potential use cases such as cloud computing, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).

ZTE Corporation, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has partnered with Thailand's leading telecommunications operator, Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), to conduct the world's first dynamic Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) trial in an mmWave network at the AZ center in Bangkok.
