KDDI will use IDEMIA’s Smart Connect Platform for its eSIM management technology to deliver cellular connectivity to Japanese business users. This will give travelling employees internet access anytime and anywhere, without searching for Wi-Fi hotspots or having to buy SIM cards.

Thanks to IDEMIA’s Smart Connect Hub, KDDI’s Japanese business customers can give their employees secure and reliable cellular connectivity on their eSIM-enabled Windows 10 devices. Meanwhile, enterprise software IT administrators will be able to easily activate, provide and manage eSIM connectivity remotely through their existing unified endpoint management (UEM) platform.

KDDI picked IDEMIA’s Smart Connect Hub given its ability to quickly support additional eSIM devices while avoiding any changes to their existing B/OSS. IDEMIA will continue to collaborate with KDDI maintaining close business relations so that they both become eSIM connectivity leaders.

“At a time of booming connectivity needs, we can give our customers the capacity to support all eSIM users. Our ground-breaking and unique solutions let us provide KDDI best-in-class technology”, said Emir Aboulhosn, IDEMIA Vice President Connectivity, Digital Business Unit.

“We are delighted to serve our client KDDI in its quest to bring more connectivity flexibility to Japanese business customers as they travel around the world”, added Nobuyoshi Nezu, IDEMIA Representative Director, Japan.
