A partnership has been announced to develop advanced data centers in India that can meet the infrastructure needs of businesses and digital service companies. Digital Realty, a global provider of data center solutions, will form a joint venture with Brookfield Infrastructure and Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), a multinational conglomerate in India.

Optus, one of Australia's leading telcos, has pioneered a new measure to protect customers from SMS scams by collaborating with the Australian Financial Crimes Exchange (AFCX) and major banking institutions. The project, dubbed “Call Stop,” started this week with the goal of putting an end to scam efforts made via fake messages.

Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multi-cloud computing, has announced that the Yogyakarta City Communication, Informatics and Encryption Office (Diskominfosan) has utilized the Nutanix Cloud Platform to integrate all 229 government applications onto the Jogja Smart Service (JSS) platform. This integration has resulted in improved delivery and transparency of public services for over 217,000 JSS users.

According to recent research, the number of Indian cities covered by 5G is increasing, leading to a milestone of over 100 million 5G smartphone users in the country. This is the first time that monthly sales of 5G smartphones have surpassed those of 4G smartphones. Counterpoint Research expects the active installed base of 5G handsets to exceed 140 million by the end of 2023.
