The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced plans to allocate a number of area-wide apparatus licenses (AWLs) that will boost local area wireless broadband services in metropolitan, regional and remote locations. These AWLs will be distributed via two distinct allocation processes, one focusing on the 3.4-4.0 GHz spectrum in remote locations and the other on the 3.8 GHz band for metropolitan and regional areas.

Netcracker Technology has announced that Dialog Axiata, a leading communications provider in Sri Lanka, will extend its relationship with Netcracker for BSS functionality and professional services to further enhance its billing capabilities for mobile, TV and broadband customers.

UOB Thailand has partnered with True Digital to transform its credit risk analysis and streamline the approval process for TMRW credit card applications using AI and analytics technology. The partnership intends to serve young professionals who have recently entered the workforce and may not have enough financial history to apply for regular credit cards.

LBS Digital Infrastructure Corporation (LDIC) has selected Atrebo’s TREE Platform following a competitive process initiated in 2022 and an RFP phase in which the Spanish technology company was finally awarded the contract to provide a full Management Solution.

The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) has collaborated with AIS, the leading mobile phone network in Thailand, to deliver cost-effective solutions to Thailand’s SMEs. FTI finds that SMEs need to be migrated to the Industry 4.0 Platform to improve manufacturing capabilities and increase productivity, but the current platforms used are somewhat expensive. Thus, partnering with AIS will offer more affordable solutions to improve factories.

Nokia announced that Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT), an operator, will launch the country's first 10G fiber broadband network. 10,000 homes and businesses in the eight largest provinces of the country will be connected during the initial rollout. Nokia offers fiber modems for end users' homes as well as fiber access nodes for the operator's exchanges.
