During the 2023 Global Mobile Broadband Forum, Huawei introduced its latest microwave technology, MAGICSwave, which paves the way for a smooth transition to 5.5G with full-band and multi-channel capabilities. The new-generation MAGICSwave supports ultra-wide multi-channel transmission to enhance backhaul efficiency, offering increased capacity for urban areas and longer transmission distances for suburban areas. It boasts a high level of integration, allowing networks to adapt and evolve over the next decade.

During the Global Mobile Broadband Forum 2023, Zain KSA signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei, reflecting a significant milestone in the field of green technology collaboration. This agreement solidifies the collaboration between Zain KSA and Huawei as they work together to drive the widespread adoption of green technology within Zain's operational framework, networks and facilities.

As Huawei kicked off the 14th Global Mobile Broadband Forum in Dubai, UAE, Li Peng, Huawei's Corporate Senior Vice President and President of the company's Carrier BG, delivered a keynote. In his speech, Li called on global carriers and industry partners to rise to the occasion, address increasing demands on networks, and make the most of the future trends.

HKT Payment was recently part of a cross-industry consortium in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) e-HKD Pilot Program. As an extension of this involvement, the company has invited innovative enterprises from different fields to participate in the "tokenized property-backed secured lending with ring-fenced usage" use case to test the hypothetical e-HKD loan apparatus and provide input to the HKMA.

Vietnam is planning to phase out its 2G network services by December 2023 in order to develop more advanced telecommunication technologies. The Authority of Telecommunications, under the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), has held meetings with telecom service providers in Vietnam, who have committed to disabling 2G-only devices by the end of this year.
