Singtel, a top communications technology group in Asia, and Hitachi Digital, representing Hitachi's wide range of digital transformation services and technology capabilities, have announced a new partnership.

This collaboration will combine Hitachi's strong AI expertise with Singtel's Paragon platform; an all-in-one orchestration platform for 5G, edge computing, and cloud.

Hitachi Digital will implement Paragon at the Hitachi Americas' Santa Clara R&D Labs, followed by a trial in a U.S. factory for Industry 4.0 use cases. The goal of the trial is to confirm the compatibility of Hitachi AI applications on Paragon in the niches of quality assurance, workplace safety, training, and maintenance.

This trial will also facilitate the integration of Paragon with Hitachi’s industry cloud applications and digital services to help businesses overcome connectivity and productivity challenges.

The combination of Hitachi's Industrial AI applications and Paragon's capabilities will lead to new offerings to enhance cloud operations for clients. Hitachi Digital Services will then offer these solutions as a Singtel Paragon authorized system integrator, providing value to enterprise customers looking to improve digital transformation in industrial settings.

Mr. Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel's Digital InfraCo, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting the importance of reliable connectivity for Industry 4.0 enterprises. He emphasized the benefits of using Paragon to manage connectivity and cloud needs in Hitachi's manufacturing facilities.

Mr. Frank Antonysamy, Chief Growth Officer at Hitachi Digital, commented on Hitachi's investment in digital solutions for industry cloud deployments. The partnership between Singtel and Hitachi aims to provide interoperable solutions and expert delivery services to help organizations navigate the complexities of industrial 5G deployments and AI adoption.
