As per the latest reports, worldwide smartphone shipments grew 5% in Q3 compared to the same period in 2023. The increase marks the fourth consecutive quarter of growth.
The deployment of AI in smartphones has largely contributed to this increase. Moreover, vendors are actively seeking new monetization opportunities.
In response to a clear global trend, the smartphone market is focusing on attracting users who may switch brands and identifying opportunities to upsell to existing customers.
Some markets in Latin America, Japan, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia, continued to recover in Q3, recording year-over-year (YoY) market growth. However, shipments in Western Europe and the Middle East and Africa declined year-over-year as economic recovery slowed, due to the respective ongoing conflicts in both regions.
